  Hi, my name is George. Better known as Gorgeous George, long time cable access host in Richmond, Virginia. Born George Alexander Yarid on July 16, 1968. Yarid is an Arabic name; I am part Lebanese, part Italian, and part Greek. I was your typical kid with dreams of becoming a celebrity or entertainer. As a kid I wanted to become a minister, but realized, me as a minister!? As a minister of what!? I did the college thing at J. Sergeant Reynolds, a local community college. I've been a bartender, waited tables, and I"ve done some DJ work at local watering holes. One day I flipped the TV on and saw this radical black man named August Moon, who talked about how white people are going to do the black race in! Then some backwards white supremacy show dealing with the same premise, reversed. I turned to my friend Matt, and said, "You know what? If these people can be on TV so can we; at least we can be a great deal funnier." My friend Matt, who started the show with me, thought I was crazy. Starting in November of 1994, during the holidays, we got the camcorder out and started taping shows in Matt’s living room and the rest became history. Me, as Gorgeous George (the Italian Stallion), ready for the ladies with a little bit of Ric Flair’s Trademark, Whoo! Featuring Mr. Magic Matt the introverted Surfer Boy for the ladies. As things progressed throughout the years, we would have different characters guest hosting and contributing their efforts, starting off mainly doing skits and improvisational sketch comedy. Then, in the middle nineties, we started having local bands from Richmond strut their stuff... Frog Legs; Inner self; The Mansions; and the Spoof British Band, Mourning Sun, were amongst the acts hosted.
